Your Tasks

Operate glass cutting and processing machinery safely and efficiently.
Cut and shape glass and mirrors to precise specifications using measuring and cutting tools.
Read patterns, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate production.
Inspect glass for defects and maximise material usage.
Operate toughening furnaces and monitor production processes, making adjustments where required.
Maintain stock records, including glass batches and off-cuts.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer requirements.
Follow Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Contribute to a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.

Your Profile

Previous experience working within the glass manufacturing or processing industry.
Strong understanding of glass production techniques and processes.
Ability to read and follow instructions, solve problems, and work accurately under pressure.
A "right first time" approach with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Experience carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
Strong commitment to Health & Safety, particularly when handling glass materials.
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Desirable
Experience operating CNC machinery.
NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
