Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Authorized Officer to oversee operational compliance and safety standards within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all procedures are adhered to, maintaining the integrity of our operations. A background in mechanical knowledge is desirable to support technical assessments and problem-solving tasks. Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with organisational policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and operational processes to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess mechanical systems and recommend improvements or repairs as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to staff regarding safety procedures and operational protocols.
- Investigate incidents or breaches of compliance, preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety programmes and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role or within an operational compliance environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is highly desirable to facilitate technical assessments and troubleshooting.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and safety standards effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for training and reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members.
- A recognised qualification related to health & safety or mechanical engineering is advantageous but not essential. Pay: £12.80 per hour
