What’s the Opportunity
Ridge is seeking an experienced Retrofit Coordinator to join our expanding national Retrofit team, supporting the delivery of some of the UK’s largest and most complex decarbonisation and social housing retrofit programmes. This role is focused on PAS 2035 compliant delivery across SHDF, WH:SHF and other large-scale social housing schemes.
This role is not suited to candidates whose experience is limited solely to ECO-funded domestic retrofit schemes.
You will be working on large scale social housing regeneration projects, consisting of the modelling, design and oversight of multiple energy efficiency measures. Some of the projects Ridge have been involved in consist of upwards of 1000+ properties at a time, implementing the installation of fabric measures, building appliances & renewable energy.
You will join a cross-collaborative practice and be able to expand your knowledge of the built environment, with the Retrofit team closely working with other in-house disciplines such as architecture, sustainability, structural engineering, building surveying and many more.
Ridge also has a Retrofit Development Pathway you will have access to. This pathway allows for direct training, CPD and further retrofit related qualifications, with the aim of progressing our Retrofit staff through their career.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
PROFESSIONAL

Lead and take ownership of the PAS 2035 retrofit process from inception through to project completion, coordinating effectively with retrofit assessors, retrofit designers, contractors, installers, clients and wider project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Act as the primary client-facing representative for Ridge, managing project performance, providing regular progress updates, tracking key performance indicators and building strong relationships with housing providers, contractors, programme managers and other key stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with PAS 2035, PAS 2030, Building Regulations and applicable DESNZ funding requirements, maintaining robust project governance, quality assurance and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks, protecting both client and public interests while ensuring retrofit services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Produce and review Improvement Option Evaluations (IOEs), Medium-Term Improvement Plans (MTIPs) and energy modelling outputs, providing expert advice on energy efficiency measures that improve building performance, reduce carbon emissions, lower fuel bills and enhance occupant comfort.

Manage the collection, review and organisation of PAS 2035 compliance documentation, including retrofit assessments, technical surveys, guarantees and supporting evidence, ensuring projects remain audit-ready and are successfully lodged with TrustMark within required programme timescales.

Support retrofit designers in developing PAS 2035 compliant design documentation and ensure effective communication and integration between all delivery partners throughout the retrofit journey.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have proven experience of working with social housing providers and contractors on large scale retrofit projects on WH:SHF, SHDF or other Large Scale retrofit schemes

Must: Level 5 Retrofit Coordination & Risk Management qualification

Must have Level 3 EEM in Older & Traditional Buildings

Desirable: Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualification and Level 4 Domestic Retrofit Assessor qualification

Consultancy experience and/or a background in large scale retrofit related projects

A clear understanding of PAS2035 processes, including producing Improvement Option Evaluations and Medium Term Plans & lodging work with Trustmark

Must be able to work autonomously while providing key support to team members to contribute towards wider team project goals when required

Must be highly efficient with technology and using various software’s such as AirTable, Cotality, PAS Hub, Elmhurst and Microsoft Excel

Must be within commuting distance from the Ridge Bristol/London/Reading office. Role is hybrid; however, some office days are required.

Must have driving license to be able to conduct site visits when necessary.
