Due to continued expansion and our long-term succession planning strategy, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Trainee / Graduate Estimator to join our team.
This is not simply another graduate or trainee position. We are looking for an individual with the ambition, drive and potential to become a key member of our future management team. Full training will be provided, with structured development and mentoring from experienced industry professionals.
The Role
Working closely with our management team, you will gain experience in all aspects of estimating and commercial management, including:
- Reviewing project drawings and specifications.
- Measuring and assessing structural steelwork quantities.
- Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supporting procurement and purchasing activities.
- Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and contractors.
- Assisting with project handovers and commercial administration.
- Developing a detailed understanding of steel fabrication and construction processes.

Location
This is a full-time office-based role at our headquarters in Preston.
Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Preston and be able to attend the office daily. Remote working is not available for this position.
