We are recruiting for a:
Service User Consultant – TC42 (Youth, Projects & Social Action)
About the role:
The Service User Consultant will work as part of the TC42 Team, supporting the delivery of group-based therapeutic support for young people aged 18–25 years who are experiencing stress, emotional distress or mental health difficulties.
Working alongside Lived Experience Practitioners and Mental Health Practitioners, the post holder will bring their lived experience expertise into the service, helping to facilitate sessions, support young people and contribute to the development of the group.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the delivery of weekly TC42 therapy sessions.
- Sharing lived experience knowledge and expertise to support young people.
- Developing positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Supporting accurate case recording and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Contributing to creative and participatory sessions internally and externally to raise awareness, share learning and increase access to mental health support.
The role is based at our Manchester headquarters, with occasional community-based work across Greater Manchester depending on the needs and accessibility requirements of the service.
Hours: 1 day per week (7.5 hours)
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2027
Location: Manchester office base and community-based work across Greater Manchester.
