Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated German and Russian tutors to provide personalised language instruction on a part-time, self-employed basis. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners, including children and individuals with special educational needs. The ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and a passion for teaching languages, fostering an engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Deliver customised language lessons in German or Russian tailored to individual student needs and learning goals
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and educational resources
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support students of all ages, including children and those requiring special education considerations
- Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages active participation and language acquisition
- Maintain organised records of lesson plans, attendance, and student progress
- Communicate effectively with students and, where appropriate, with parents or guardians regarding learning development
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching German and/or Russian languages
- Experience working with children or students with special educational needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey language concepts and motivate learners
- Familiarity with different teaching methodologies suitable for diverse age groups and learning abilities
- Previous experience in working independently as a self-employed tutor is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for those new to self-employment or tutoring roles
Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
