Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen manager
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Help with serving meals to customers or guests as required
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
