Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver for a 3.5-tonne vehicle to join our team delivering high end premium products across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high end, heavy doors and windows efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on punctuality and professionalism. Candidates must have relevant driving experience and a strong commitment to safety and service quality.
This is not your average delivery role - you'll be trusted with valuable goods and expected to represent our brand with professionalism.
This position includes nationwide travel with regular overnight stays, so flexibility and a readiness for the open road are essential.
Duties
- Safely operate the 3.5-tonne delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines and optimise fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, maintaining safe handling practices
- Deliver goods to customers in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Fork lift driving experience - desirable
- Comfortable with overnight stays and working away from home
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for a 3.5-tonne vehicle, with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively
- Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and service
