Serenity Dental Care
Serenity Dental Care is looking for an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join the friendly team. The role involves supporting the dentist with patient care while gaining the skills and knowledge required to qualify as a Dental Nurse. There is also the possibility of a full-time position with the practice once qualified.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during dental procedures.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records.
- Clean and decontaminate dental instruments and treatment rooms.
- Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, instruments, and equipment.
- Assist with the preparation, mixing, and handling of dental materials.
- Support patients throughout their dental treatment and help manage patient anxiety.
- Carry out reception duties and general administrative tasks.
- Follow infection control, decontamination, health and safety, and waste disposal procedures.
- Support the dental team in providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Communicate professionally and sensitively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Training
You will complete the Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship, which includes:
- Dental Nurse GDC 2025 Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
- Functional Skills if required.
- Training delivered online via Teams with a live tutor or at one of PTP Training's training centres.
- Development of the practical knowledge and skills required to work as a qualified Dental Nurse.
Desirable Qualifications
- GCSE English – Grade 4/C or above.
- GCSE Maths – Grade 4/C or above.
Other relevant qualifications and industry experience will also be considered, and the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect existing knowledge and experience.

Wage: £16,224 for the first year, with the potential to increase depending on age.
Hours: 39 hours per week.
- Monday – Tuesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, with a 30-minute break.
- Wednesday – Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, with a 1-hour break.
- Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm, with a 1-hour break.
Duration: 1 year 6 months
Pay: From £16,224.00 per year
