Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Health Care Support Worker to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will work closely with nursing staff to deliver high-quality care tailored to each resident’s needs. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued and respected.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
- Support the implementation of individual care plans, recording observations and progress accurately
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to promote understanding and trust
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Use IT systems to update resident records and document care provided efficiently
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in dementia care
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by demonstrating reliability, compassion, and proactive support
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in nursing or healthcare support is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual resident needs
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life

Pay: £14.81-£15.99 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
