Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Hod Carrier/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the transportation and positioning of materials, supporting site operations, and ensuring the smooth progress of projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a dynamic environment. Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading materials
- Transport materials to designated areas within the construction site using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support tradespeople by providing necessary materials and tools during operations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times
- Assist with general site duties such as clearing debris, preparing work areas, and helping with minor tasks as directed
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to minimise risks on site
Requirements
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on site
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a construction environment is desirable
- Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
