Maintenance and Production Support Technician

About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Maintenance & Production Support Engineer to join our Operations team. This is a varied hands-on role responsible for maintaining production machinery, site facilities and calibration-controlled equipment while supporting production and development activities.
Working closely with Production, Engineering and Development teams, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, complete calibration activities, deliver site improvements and assist with the assembly and testing of bespoke and non-standard products.
Training will be provided for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests.
- Complete general site maintenance and repairs.
- Calibrate pressure gauges
- Fault find and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Support machinery modifications and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist Development and Production with assembly and testing of prototype, bespoke and non-standard products.
- Prepare and set up test equipment, tooling and fixtures.
- Work with external contractors where specialist support is required.
- Maintain maintenance records and support weekly planning.
- Work in accordance with company health, safety and quality procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
- Mechanical maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
- Calibration experience.
- Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge.
- Prototype or development build experience.
- Fabrication experience.

The role follows a structured weekly maintenance programme covering calibration, preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, continuous improvement and weekly planning, while remaining flexible to support production priorities and urgent engineering requirements.
