Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to loss prevention. The shifts schedule will run on a 4 on 4 off schedule, 12hr days.
Duties
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to prevent unauthorised access.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard property and assets.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a calm demeanour in emergency situations.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
- First aid certification is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
