The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment, building services, and facilities across the company’s operations. This role requires a multi-skilled individual with experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
The successful candidate will support all departments, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, health and safety compliance, and minimal downtime. Regular travel between company branches is required to provide maintenance support and coordinate improvement projects across multiple locations.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a maintenance technician, maintenance engineer, or similar role.

Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.

Key Responsibilities
Machinery Maintenance
-
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
-
Install, commission, and relocate machinery as required.
-
Maintain maintenance records and service reports.
-
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Liaise with suppliers & sub-contractors for specialist service and repair work.
- Ensure critical spare parts are procured & stocked up.

Keep logs of breakdowns and repairs completed.
Electrical Maintenance

Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on machinery, lighting, power distribution systems, and building services.

Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions.

Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance and safety.

Support installation of new electrical equipment and upgrades.
Plumbing & Building Maintenance

Perform plumbing maintenance and repairs to water supply systems, drainage systems, and sanitary facilities.

Carry out general building maintenance including repairs to doors, offices, welfare facilities, and external areas.

Coordinate with external contractors when specialist support is required.
Multi-Site Support
- Travel regularly between company branches to conduct maintenance activities and support operational requirements.
- Assist with site improvement projects and equipment installations.
- Ensure maintenance standards are consistently applied across all locations by working closely with the EHS Lead.
- Provide emergency maintenance support when required.
- Support operational improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
