Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a vibrant hospitality environment, ensuring that all food and beverage operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant or catering experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Manage guest queries promptly and professionally, providing excellent guest services
- Support with stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all duties
- Help other departments with tasks when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic food preparation skills and kitchen experience are desirable
- Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food presentation is a plus
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance the guest experience
