You will be a reliable individual, able to work on your own initiative to complete tasks efficiently and effectively in a food factory setting.
Your duties will include: Following standard operating procedures required within the factory and carry out any work tasks as instructed by the Production Team Leader/ Production Manager; Work in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner to assist achieving set daily production KPI targets; Operate packing lines on your own or as part of a team working to a busy production schedule; Complete works orders, ensuring all required quality forms and checks are carried out; General housekeeping of factory area; Assist with waste control; Other duties may include making up sample kits and assisting Production Operatives to make product.
Essential criteria: Excellent attention to detail; Health & Safety awareness within a factory environment; IT literate with the ability to operate a computerised stock control system; Previous food production experience within a factory environment; Good knowledge/awareness of food hygiene and legislative requirements; Good level of fitness with the ability to manually lift product of varying weights
Desirable criteria: Experience of working with food; Qualification/training in food hygiene; Qualification/training in Manual handling; Forklift driver licence.
