Position: Hotel Receptionist
Location: Crow Wood Hotel, Burnley, BB12 0RT
Hours: 40 per week. Full time
Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort is one of Lancashire’s luxury hotel destinations, offering elegant accommodation, exceptional dining, award winning spa facilities, and unforgettable experiences. Our stunning property features 86 bedrooms, 3 restaurants, a Leisure Centre, an award-winning spa, and event spaces designed for every occasion.
We are looking for an hotel receptionist, preferably with experience of working in a 4-star hotel, to provide a friendly, efficient and welcoming service to our guests.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills (face to face, email and telephone), will be able to work to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail and will take pride in their work.
The role is shift work with a mixture of early (6.45am starts) and late (11.15pm finish), including weekends on a rota system.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are a team player and willing to multi task to help out in other departments where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Handle the check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Manage room reservations via phone, email, and booking platforms
- Answer and direct incoming calls, transferring guests to other departments when needed.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Maintain accurate records of bookings and payments
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and presentable
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments as needed
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
About you:
- Previous experience in a customer service facing role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible with shifts, including working weekends and public holidays
- A team player who can build positive working relationships across departments.
