Procure to Pay Manager
Contract type: permanent
Working pattern: Hybrid working: this role permits hybrid working, employees are expected to work from a Network Rail location for 60% of their weekly hours, typically 3 days for full time roles, pro-rata for part-time.

Band: 4.B
Salary: £35,582 - £43,400 depending on skills and experience

This role is accountable for strengthening financial controls and delivering a best-in-class service in accordance with statutory, regulatory, contractual, customs & excise and group policy and regulations. Focusing on continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and service excellence to ensure effective supplier payment operations and sustained organisational performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for the resolution of complex supplier invoice queries supporting timely delivery of supplier payments whilst driving operational efficiency and compliance with Prompt Payment Code targets. You will partner with peers and stakeholders to strengthen cross-functional collaboration and enhance knowledge sharing across the wider organisation. Delivery of robust month-end processes, insightful reporting, supplier reconciliations and creditor ledger management to support informed decision-making at senior level, while proactively identifying risks and implementing sustainable control and process improvements to reduce non-compliance and improve overall performance.
What are we looking for?
- Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable, particularly managing teams & cashflow
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working in a complex or shared service environment
- Confident using Excel and Microsoft tools
