The Role
As a Barista / All Rounder, you'll play an important role in the daily operation of our specialty espresso bar.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service, and isn't afraid to get involved in every aspect of café life.
This role includes opening and closing shifts, so reliability, organisation and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Minimum 2 year experience in Specialty Coffee
- Confident dialling in espresso and maintaining consistency throughout the day
- Excellent milk texturing and clean, consistent latte art
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and coffee quality
- Knowledge and experience of manual brew methods (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press and other specialty brewing techniques)
- Passion for specialty coffee and continuous learning
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable and professional attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean and well-organised café
- Reliable, punctual and proactive
- Comfortable working opening and closing shifts, including weekends
- Right to work in the UK
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare exceptional espresso-based beverages to specialty coffee standards
- Prepare and serve manual brew coffee using a range of specialty brewing methods
- Dial in espresso and monitor coffee quality throughout the day
- Deliver genuine, friendly and professional customer service
- Prepare freshly baked pastries each morning for display
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and other food items following company recipes
- Ensure all food is attractively presented and fully stocked throughout the day
- Open and close the café following company procedures
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the café at all times
- Clean and maintain coffee equipment to the highest standard
- Restock products and monitor inventory throughout the day
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Support the team to ensure smooth daily operations
