Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support individuals with their daily routines, including meal preparation and medication reminders
- Help implement and follow personalised care plans under supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
- Support with light domestic duties within the care setting or clients’ homes
- Document care activities accurately using IT systems as required
- Drive or accompany residents to appointments or outings when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as required
