We're looking for a motivated and social bartender to join our little pub. The pub is family owned and is very much a social hub in Heaton. It's a small pub with a lots of people in and out so cleanliness is our focus for 2026! We also have the pleasure of having bar seating so some of our punters come for a chat which is an essential part of the job. We don't really do many cocktails, but we pour plenty of Guinness and change over a fair few kegs so it's important to learn these skills or have them already.
Duties
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Ensure the pub is clean, organized, and stocked at all times
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Engage with customers, provide recommendations, and answer questions about the menu
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
