What You’ll Be Doing
As an Operational Administrator, you’ll provide essential administrative support to the Operations Department at our Brownhills site. You’ll help keep documentation accurate, processes compliant, and communication running between Operations, Chemists, Customer Services, and Management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Generate IPOs within SAP in line with the IPO Procedure, obtaining correct approval levels
Support Managers & Supervisors with note‑taking during Back to Work Interviews and file documents correctly
Assist with completing and updating training sign‑off sheets
Provide holiday cover for the Stock Control Administrator
Support the Site Operations Manager / Plant Manager when liaising with Customer Services, Chemists and incoming consignment documentation
Scan incoming hard-copy waste consignment paperwork and update the Transfer Station Post‑Acceptance SharePoint file
Act as a point of contact for Customer Services for missing paperwork, weighbridge tickets and documentation queries
Maintain filing systems for operational equipment checks and site documentation
Update monthly KPI information for the Senior Leadership Team
Complete additional administrative duties as required to support smooth site operations
Generic Duties
Carry out additional tasks as required, in line with role capability
Support RED Industries’ overall objectives as part of the team
Promote a strong health & safety culture and maintain daily safety awareness
Take responsibility for your own and others’ safety
Report incidents, observations and concerns and ensure corrective actions are taken
Encourage safety improvements and collaborate with H&S representatives where needed
Ensure visitors, contractors and third parties comply with site H&S rules, including PPE
Raise Corrective Action Reports where needed
Support efficiency initiatives and champion responsible use of resources
Promote a “right first time” culture to reduce non‑conformities and incidents
Who We’re Looking For:
Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Strong organisational skills
Computer literate with solid Excel capability
Comfortable working within a small team
Experience in the waste industry (desirable)
SAP experience (desirable)
