Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Night Porter to ensure the safety and security of our premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting with a focus on safety, surveillance, and customer service. Must have a valid SIA licence.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any security breaches or hazards
- Monitor CCTV systems to oversee all areas of the property effectively
- Maintain vigilant surveillance to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
- Record all activities accurately in security logs and report any irregularities to management
- Control access points by verifying identification and managing visitor or contractor entry
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing and intervening in suspicious activities
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work an overnight shift pattern

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
