Overview
This role combines production management, team supervision, customer service, and hands-on jewellery making. The successful candidate will oversee the full order lifecycle, maintain high production standards, and support business growth through sales and client relationships.
Core Responsibilities
1. Production Management
- Organise and oversee the production of all customer orders from start to finish
- Maintain and update the digital order board accurately
- Manage the full order process, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Use Excel, email systems, and Shopify confidently
- Create, update, and complete planograms
- Generate and print barcodes
- Prepare orders for dispatch, including checking, packing, and documentation
- Book in parcels, including measuring and weighing
- Ensure all orders are dispatched with correct quantities and paperwork
2. Supervising Production Workers
- Assign and manage workloads for internal and external production staff
- Ensure processes are followed across picking, assembling, packing, and shipping
- Train and support all production workers
- Act as the main point of contact, providing feedback and guidance confidentally
- Conduct quality checks and audits on completed work
- Maintain accurate records of completed orders per worker
- Track timesheets and holiday records
3. Customer Service
- Communicate with customers via email and telephone
- Follow up on dispatched orders
- Provide excellent customer care and maintain client relationships
- Handle complaints professionally and efficiently
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
4. Invoicing
- Create accurate invoices
- Send invoices to the correct client contacts
- Maintain and update customer contact details
5. Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels (products and branding materials)
- Notify the Office Manager when stock requires replenishment
- Reorder and restock as necessary
6. Working with the Office Manager
- Collaborate to ensure all orders are completed and dispatched on time
- Provide regular updates on production progress
- Report any issues promptly
- Maintain and update shared drive folders (planograms, contact lists, client files, etc.)
7. Jewellery Making
- Produce jewellery to order
- Ensure all items meet required quality and accuracy standards
8. Sales
- Engage existing customers to generate repeat business and upselling opportunities
- Reach out to new clients to develop new business
- Prepare and send product samples
9. Additional Responsibilities
Undertake any additional duties as required by the Director
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
