Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cpcs Telehandler operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a telehandler equipped with a CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) certification, ensuring efficient movement of materials across various construction sites. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with excavators will be essential in supporting site operations, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to the timely completion of projects. Duties
- Operate the Cpcs-certified telehandler safely and efficiently to move materials, tools, and equipment around the construction site
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using the telehandler, ensuring proper placement and stability
- Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns, reporting any faults promptly
- Support excavation activities by coordinating with excavator operators and other machinery operators on-site
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including site-specific protocols and PPE requirements
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with site managers and team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progress
Qualifications
- Valid CPCS Telehandler certification demonstrating competence in operating heavy machinery on construction sites
- Proven experience operating telehandlers, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and operational best practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment, particularly excavators and other heavy machinery
- Valid driving license with experience in commercial driving preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
