We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Inspector to join our team. This is a field-based role, though you will primarily be based around Greenwich Peninsula and nearby sites across Greater London.
You will be responsible for inspecting fire doors to current standards, maintaining accurate records, and building professional relationships with clients. While previous experience as a Fire Door Inspector is essential, full on-the-job training and support will be provided to ensure you work in line with Helix processes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to sites (primarily Greenwich Peninsula and surrounding areas) to carry out fire door inspections
- Inspect fire doors in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner in accordance with current standards
- Use a tablet/app to complete checklists and report on the condition of each fire door
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Maintain accurate and precise documentation of all works completed
- Follow company processes to ensure every inspection is completed correctly
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Fire Door Inspector (essential)
- Recognised Fire Door Inspection qualification (FDIS, BRE or equivalent) preferred
- Good communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Full, clean UK driving licence (preferred)
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Strong work ethic
- Computer literate
- Excellent timekeeping and time management skills
- Ability to cope with a high volume of work
- Self-motivated team player who demonstrates professionalism, positivity and proactiveness
Note: Training will be provided on the job to support successful candidates in Helix systems, processes and reporting standards.
Pay: £36,000.00 per year
