- Previous mechanical repair, maintenance, or servicing experience (groundcare equipment, agricultural machinery, plant equipment, vehicles, motorcycles, small engines, or similar).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Confidence using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Candidates with experience servicing lawnmowers, ride-on mowers, compact tractors, groundcare equipment, agricultural machinery, plant equipment, motorcycles, or automotive vehicles are particularly encouraged to apply.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Groundcare Lawnmower Mechanic to join our team in Lisburn.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual to work on a wide range of professional groundcare and turf maintenance equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing routine servicing, and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of lawnmowers and groundcare equipment.
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, blade sharpening, filter replacement, and general equipment inspections.
- Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle, repair, rebuild, and test machinery.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment meets operational and health and safety standards.
- Complete repair documentation and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Identify parts requirements and support stock control processes where required.
- Provide advice to customers and colleagues on equipment operation, maintenance, and care.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and service department.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in mechanical repair, servicing, or maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability.
- Experience using workshop hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience repairing lawnmowers or groundcare equipment.
- Experience with small petrol and diesel engines.
- Agricultural machinery, plant equipment, automotive, motorcycle, or turfcare equipment experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Hydraulic and electrical fault-finding experience.
- Relevant engineering or mechanical qualifications.
