Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening with accuracy and efficiency
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to carry out repairs according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the scope of work needed
- Ensure proper heavy lifting techniques are used when handling large or heavy vehicle parts or components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity
- Document repair procedures, parts used, and work completed for each vehicle in accordance with company policies
- Collaborate with estimators and other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in auto body repair or related fields
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for vehicle repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of daily duties
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Prior experience working in a body shop environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Valid driver’s license; certification from an accredited body shop technician program is a plus
