Position: Front of House (FOH) Team Member
Location: The Crossing Indian Bistro, Leeds
Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Supervisor

About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House team. As the face of the restaurant, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent service, and ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.
This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Provide menu knowledge, make recommendations, and answer customer queries.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Handle complaints or queries in a polite and efficient manner, escalating to management where necessary.
Restaurant Operations
- Set up tables, chairs, and service stations before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and reception areas.
- Assist in resetting tables promptly for new guests.
- Process payments accurately (cash, card, or digital methods) in line with company policies.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
Teamwork & Compliance
- Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain service standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures.
- Uphold licensing laws and responsible alcohol service (where applicable).
- Adhere to company policies, uniform standards, and grooming guidelines.
- Participate in staff training, meetings, and development opportunities.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred(training provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle busy periods effectively.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
