CNC Machinist/Programmer (Miller)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Miller) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and proven experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
This role involves precision machining of components to high-quality standards while adhering to strict health and safety procedures. The successful applicant will be proficient in setting and programming CNC Mills, interpreting technical drawings, and inspecting machined components. CNC experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Machining centres – 3/4/5 axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components to specification
- Program and set CNC mills using Siemens 828D - 840
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD designs
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
- Minimum 5 years’ CNC experience (required)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling requirements
- Experience operating machining centres.
- Experience with Siemens 828D / 840 (advantageous)
- CAD/CAM knowledge, including programming with Fusion 360 (advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time (CNC MILLER)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Overtime available Paid at time and a half )
- Excellent rates of pay for the right candidate
