Due to the award of a significant new multi-year manufacturing contract, together with continued business growth, we are expanding our production team and are looking to recruit a Driver / Labourer.

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating delivery vehicles and assisting with various labour tasks around the facility. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries, smooth warehouse operations, and a positive experience for our clients and team members alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your driving skills while engaging in hands-on work that keeps our operations running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vans and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting and manual handling
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Support warehouse activities such as inventory management, stock movement, and organization
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and safety documentation
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during daily operations
Qualifications
- Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating vans or commercial vehicles
- Experience in warehouse environments or manual labour tasks preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safe vehicle operation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
Health & Safety
Safety is fundamental to everything we do.
Working within the factory involves the use of specialist materials and equipment, and successful applicants will be expected to comply fully with all Company Health & Safety procedures.
This includes:
- Wearing mandatory PPE at all times.
- Correct use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
- Following COSHH assessments and chemical handling procedures.
- Working with extraction systems in operation.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
- Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses.
- Following Company Safe Systems of Work.
- Supporting our "See It. Say It. Sort It." safety culture.
