Location: Palms Hotel, Hornchurch, Essex
Position: Breakfast Chef / Sous Chef (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: Up to £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours:
- 7:00am – 11:00am
- Weekend work is required
- Immediate start available
About the Role
The Palms Hotel in Hornchurch is looking for a reliable and experienced Breakfast Chef or Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving traditional English breakfast dishes for hotel guests, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook full English breakfasts and other breakfast menu items.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages as required.
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast service periods.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of chef experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, or similar environment.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent) required.
- Good knowledge of English breakfast preparation.
- Excellent spoken English is essential.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
