Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Care Supervisor to oversee and coordinate care services within our home care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties
- Supervise and support care staff to ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of care plans, updating them as necessary in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
- Oversee daily operations within the care environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive and professional working atmosphere
- Coordinate staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover for shifts across the organisation
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care activities, staff performance, and incident reports
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and quality care delivery
- Assist with training new staff members and ongoing professional development initiatives
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a senior or residential care setting, preferably in a care home environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of care workers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
- Competent IT skills for managing electronic care records and documentation systems
- Valid driving licence is desirable for overseeing multiple locations or community-based visits
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant health & safety regulations
- Experience working with elderly or vulnerable adults in a senior care context is highly advantageous
- Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
