Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and compassionate Domestic Assistant to join our team at Royal Court Care Home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors and staff. High standards of cleanliness and infection prevention are essential within our care home, and full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, offices and other designated areas to a high standard.
- Vacuum, mop, dust and polish surfaces as required.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets and high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Replenish cleaning materials, toiletries and other consumable supplies.
- Assist with laundry duties where required, including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing and linen.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment to the appropriate manager.
- Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Safeguarding procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in accordance with training.
- Maintain residents' dignity, privacy and respect whilst carrying out duties.
- Work flexibly to meet the operational needs of the home and support colleagues where required.

- Good attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Physically able to undertake cleaning duties throughout the working day.
- A positive, caring and professional attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience in domestic cleaning, housekeeping or a care home environment.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations.
