Part-Time Chef Wanted
One of our chefs is leaving after five years with us to start a career in a different field, so we’re looking for someone to join our kitchen team on a long term basis.
This is a part-time role of around 8–25 hours per week. Saturdays are essential, but the other shifts can be flexible and worked around your availability. We are closed on Sunday evenings and all day Monday.
The role will mainly involve preparing and plating desserts, plating starters, making salads and helping with general food preparation. On some shifts, particularly when our sous chef is off, you’ll work alongside the head chef, helping to cook and plate main meals during service.
We’re a busy country pub serving good, homemade food. we pride ourselves on simple well cooked food, no TV-chef nonsense — just a small team that gets on with the job and takes pride in what goes out.
You’ll need kitchen experience, be able to work cleanly, stay calm when it gets busy and care about consistency. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to be reliable and willing to get stuck in.
Pay depends on experience.
Come in for a chat, have a look around the kitchen and see what you think.
