Bedwardine House is a residential care home in Worcester, providing care and support for elderly residents, including those living with dementia.
Our aim is to create a safe, respectful and homely environment where residents feel well cared for, and where staff feel supported, valued and able to do their jobs properly.
The Role
We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Care Assistant.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day care and support to residents, helping them to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life. You will work as part of the care team to deliver kind, respectful and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including help with washing, dressing, toileting and continence care
- Support residents with mobility, transfers and physical activities, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Assist residents during mealtimes, including helping with eating and drinking where required
- Spend time with residents, offering companionship, emotional support and encouragement
- Support residents to take part in social activities and daily routines
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in residents’ needs to senior staff
- Help keep residents’ rooms and communal areas clean, tidy and welcoming
- Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred care
- Uphold residents’ dignity, privacy and choices at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Kind, patient and compassionate
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Able to communicate well with residents, families and colleagues
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Passionate about supporting older adults and residents living with dementia
Previous care experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable, but not required.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours, Monday to Sunday, as per rota
- Day and night shifts available, depending on the position
- Full-time and part-time positions considered
- Some weekend working will be required

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
