Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Dental Nurse to join our wonderful and talented team, whether you are already qualified or are in training and have at least 6 months experience as a Dental Nurse. You will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team in delivering outstanding patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting the clinician, ensuring patient comfort, maintaining a sterile and organized environment, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the clinician during dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Prepare and maintain a clean and sterile treatment area in compliance with infection control procedures.
- Process digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Record patient medical histories and treatment information accurately.
- Maintain and manage dental equipment and instruments.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care and comfort.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including occasional reception cover.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
- Uphold our practice values and ethos at all times.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred, although we will consider trainee Dental Nurses
- Excellent knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service
- Proficient in using dental management software (e.g., Dentally)
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused attitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
