Vector Volt is an electrical installation contractor working on battery energy storage (BESS) and substation projects across the UK. We are recruiting cable pullers and electrical mates now for our approved pool, ahead of projects mobilising from late 2026, starting in Scotland.
£160 – £220 per day (CIS), depending on experience. Accommodation provided at no cost to you for away work.
The work:
Cable pulling as part of a team on energy construction sites, building ladder rack and containment, assisting electricians with dressing, tying and identifying cables, general site support. Physically demanding, outdoors, and done properly – we work to high standards on live, safety-critical sites.
Essential:
- ECS Labourer card or valid CSCS card
- Previous experience on construction, utilities or industrial sites
- Physically fit for repetitive manual work
- Own PPE (boots, hard hat, gloves, hi-vis)
- Willing to work away from home Monday–Friday
- Right to work in the UK
- Full agreement to our zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy, including random and for-cause testing
Desirable:
- Previous cable pulling experience, especially on solar, BESS, substation or utilities projects
- Confined space training
- Level 2 electrical qualification (improvers welcome)
- Manual handling certificate
Terms:
CIS self-employed subcontract basis – you'll need a UTR and will be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. Rates paid weekly. Accommodation for away work is provided by us in shared houses – strictly no smoking and no pets.
