The Electrician is responsible to the Chief Engineer for:
- Maintaining the vessel's electrical and electronic equipment
- Adopting safe working practices
- UMS test schedules, alarm test etc
- Assisting during maintenance as required over and above electrical equipment maintenance
- First level maintenance of communications, radio and navigation equipment
- Providing support for safe and efficient running of electrical equipment during cargo operations
The job requires:
- Good team working skills
- Ability to perform all tasks in an orderly way
- Comfortable understanding and following instructions and willing to ask for clarification if necessary
