Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, supporting children's development in a safe, nurturing environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about early years education and childcare.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and personal care.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily experiences.
- Lead or assist in organising nursery events and activities to enhance the children's learning journey.
- Supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards and contributing to team meetings.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within early years settings or nurseries.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Organised with the ability to plan activities efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
- Passionate about child development with a caring nature and patience.
