Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of speciality coffee drinks and beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including light snack or pastry serving.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Support team members as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation and handling procedures will be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills and effective time management are essential to succeed in this role.
