About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Cleaner to join our team at Scalford Court Care Home. Working overnight to ensure our home remains clean, safe, and comfortable for residents, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards our residents deserve.
Shift times: 10:00pm – 6:00am
This role operates on a 2-week rotating pattern:
- Week 1: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (4 nights)
- Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 nights)

Main Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties:
- Clean and maintain all communal areas, corridors, and bathrooms to a high standard
- Follow infection control and COSHH guidelines at all times
- Ensure the home is safe, tidy, and presentable throughout the night
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the on-duty care team
- Keep cleaning equipment clean, organised, and safely stored
- Support a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents and staff
Team & Communication:
- Work closely with the night team and report any concerns promptly
- Participate in handovers and training as required
Health & Safety:
- Follow all Health & Safety, Fire, and Infection Control procedures
- Report accidents, incidents, or hazards immediately
- Promote a safe and calm environment throughout the night
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
- Calm and able to work independently through the night
- A team player with good communication skills
- Experienced in cleaning (preferred) or willing to learn through full training
- Flexible to work nights, including some weekends and bank holidays
