We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Office Administrator to become a key member of our team in our new Manchester office.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator / Office Manager to join our office based at M12 area.
This is a varied role requiring someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day running of the office, support management, oversee recruitment, and ensure the business operates efficiently whilst being the first point of call to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the office.
- Maintain accurate customer records, databases, and documentation.
- Manage recruitment, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs, arranging interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and confidently.
- Welcome customers, suppliers, and visitors in a professional manner.
- Liaise with surveyors, installers, suppliers, and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Maintain filing systems and ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately.
- Support Director with general office management and business administration.
- Identify opportunities to improve office procedures and efficiency.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in administration/office management or senior office administration is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple tasks and managing workloads effectively.
- Previous recruitment or HR administration essential.
- Confident speaking on the telephone with customers, suppliers, and applicants.
- Professional and confident when dealing with people face-to-face.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A positive, proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the construction, home improvement, property, or trades sector.
- Experience using CRM systems and QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of scheduling field-based staff.
