As our Activities & Wellbeing Lead, you’ll be at the heart of creating meaningful experiences, building connections and bringing enjoyment to everyday life. You’ll get to know our residents as individuals, understanding their interests, abilities and preferences to develop a varied programme of activities, events and social opportunities.
Whether it’s a group activity, a special event, a one-to-one session or simply creating a moment of connection, you’ll help make every day meaningful and enjoyable for the people we support.

About The Role
Please note that this is a maternity cover position, starting in mid-October 2026, for a minimum period of 9 months.

40 hours a week

8am - 5pm, covering 5 days over 7, including alternate weekends

Lead the planning and delivery of a varied, person-centred activities programme that supports residents’ social, physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing.

Build genuine relationships with residents, taking the time to understand their personalities, interests, life stories and preferences, and turn these into meaningful experiences.

Bring creativity and energy to the role by organising engaging activities, themed events, entertainment and outings that give residents something to look forward to.

Work closely with colleagues across the home to ensure activities support residents’ individual needs, wellbeing and care plans.

Lead and inspire a small team of Activities Coordinators, providing guidance, encouragement and support to help them deliver a consistently high standard of activities.

Build connections with the local community and external organisations, creating opportunities for residents to stay connected and involved.

Manage activity budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used creatively and responsibly.

Ensure activities and outings are well planned, appropriately risk assessed and delivered in line with health and safety requirements.

Previous experience working in the care sector

A creative and enthusiastic personality with experience in planning and leading activities, ideally in a care or community setting
