Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- A valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) consistently throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
