Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Stockperson to join the small team on our outdoor straw-based pig finishing unit near Brandon, Suffolk. Stockperson experience is essential.
Job Responsibilities of Pig Stockperson:-
- You will be actively involved in all areas of the pig finishing system
- Overseeing and maintaining high welfare standards. On a day-to-day basis this includes feeding, mucking out, loading/unloading and handling the pigs and providing support to outdoor rearing site at peak times
- General animal husbandry
- Working with machinery including tractors and telehandlers (training provided)
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
What you will need:
- Previous stockperson experience.
- To always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare
- To be self-motivated, flexible and have great team player abilities
- To be reliable and have excellent time-keeping
- Full driving license / Own transport to reach rural farm location
Weekly hours are variable with some early starts (on these occasions you will finish earlier).
Pay and Benefits:
- £30,000.00 - £35,000.00 depending on experience
- The shift pattern is Monday to Friday working one in three weekends, total 45 hours per week.
- Pension 3% employer contributions, 5% employee contributions

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
