Part-Time Chef / Cook
1–2 shifts per week + additional holiday cover | Permanent part-time role
National Minimum / Living Wage (age dependent) + TRONC currently averaging between £2.00 - £3.00 per hour on top of your hourly wage

Yamu Yamu is a small independent restaurant in Worthing serving Asian-influenced small plates alongside cocktails, craft beer and sake.
We're looking for a part-time chef or experienced cook to join our small kitchen team for 1–2 shifts per week, with opportunities for additional hours to cover staff holidays and busier periods.
We're a friendly, close-knit team and we're looking for someone who will fit comfortably into a small kitchen, enjoy the food we make and be happy getting stuck in.
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is required, but you don't need to have cooked Asian food before – we'll teach you our menu and how we do things.
We care much more about good food, consistency and a positive attitude than fancy techniques. If you're reliable, work cleanly, stay calm when service gets busy and take pride in what you send out, we'd love to hear from you.
What we're looking for:
- Previous professional kitchen experience
- Good basic kitchen and food preparation skills
- Reliable and organised
- Calm and efficient during busy services
- Good food safety and hygiene standards
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Some flexibility to help with holiday cover
The role:
- 1–2 shifts per week
- Mainly evening shifts, Wednesday to Saturday
- Food preparation and service
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen standards
- Working closely with the rest of our small kitchen team
- Additional shifts available for holiday cover and busier periods
