Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust equipment performance
- Perform welding tasks for repairs or fabrication as required
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general building systems.
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with staff, contractors, and management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
