Overview
We are an award winning Restaurant, Tea Rooms and Bed & Breakfast in the heart of The South Downs.
We are looking for Front of House member to join our team. Shifts are usually 1:30pm - 7:30pm. Although these can sometimes be a little flexible. We are looking for more than one person to fill 2 to 3 shifts per week.
Starting pay is £12.75 plus tips - for over 21.
Duties
As a Front of House Team Member, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests warmly and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Assisting with the seating of guests and managing reservations efficiently.
- Taking orders accurately and relaying them to the kitchen staff.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the front of house area, including tables, counters, and waiting areas.
- Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Handling cash transactions and performing basic maths for billing purposes.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- computer admin work dealing with boookings and emails.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest services skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Basic culinary knowledge or experience in food preparation is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic team environment.
