Little Lionhearts Nursery School is a well-established, large flagship nursery based in a beautiful Grade II–listed building in Harrow. We care for children aged 3 months to 5 years in a calm, well-organised, and well-resourced environment, supported by an experienced leadership team and clear systems.
As we continue to grow, we are recruiting Nursery Practitioners at multiple levels of experience. This role is suitable for qualified practitioners, experienced senior practitioners, and those ready to take on lead or room-level responsibility.
Salary & Progression
- £12.91 – £14.74 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities
- Required term time only (40 hours a week) and also accepting Bank staff
- Appointments will be made at an appropriate level (Qualified Practitioner, Senior Practitioner, Lead Practitioner or Room Leader) following interview

The Role
Depending on experience and level, responsibilities may include:
- Delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
- Acting as a key person and supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
- Completing observations, assessments, and planning
- Supporting room quality and daily routines
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Ensuring safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed
- For senior roles: supporting colleagues, leading practice, or managing a room
About You
- A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (CACHE / NVQ or equivalent) or QTS, EYTT, EYPS
- Experience working with children under 5
- Good understanding of the EYFS
- Experience with SEND is an advantage
- Confident using electronic learning journals
- Professional, reliable, and a strong team player
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
